AirAsia Announces Additional Singapore-Sarawak Flights for Chinese New Year.

As many people are already planning their tickets home for the Chinese New Year, AirAsia has announced additional direct flights for Sarawakian travelers working in Singapore during the festive season.

The extra flights include the Singapore-Kuching route, which will operate late-night flights from February 2 to 5, coinciding with the New Year celebrations.

Other added flights include the Singapore-Sibu and Singapore-Miri routes. These additional services will run between January 24 and February 4. Those who haven’t booked their tickets home yet can consider these options.

As AirAsia prepares to celebrate the Year of the Snake in 2025, the airline has announced additional seasonal flights for Chinese New Year, aiming to reconnect families and friends between Singapore and East Malaysia.

Travelers can start planning their trips from January 24 to February 5, 2025, with options including late-night flights from Singapore to Kuching or special limited-time flights to Sibu, Miri, and Tawau.

With 22 extra flights added to key destinations in East Malaysia, AirAsia will operate a total of 43 flights during the festive season, providing over 7,900 seats at flexible fares. This initiative underscores AirAsia’s commitment to improving travel accessibility during peak periods, staying true to its motto, “Now Everyone Can Fly.”

Passengers traveling during this festive season are strongly encouraged to self-check-in via airasia.com or the AirAsia MOVE app, which is available up to 14 days before departure. Travelers can use the e-Boarding Pass for boarding.

To ensure a smooth and hassle-free journey, passengers are advised to arrive early at the airport. Baggage drop counters will open at least two (2) hours prior to departure.
