The JPJ & PDRM traffic summons system is getting a major revamp.
Starting January 1, 2026, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) will officially unify their traffic summons systems, making law enforcement fairer, more consistent, and transparent nationwide.
The government is also introducing a new principle:
“The Less You Delay, The Less You Pay.”
In short, the faster you pay your summons, the bigger your discount.

New Discount Structure
• Payment within 1–15 days: 50% discount
• Payment within 16–30 days: 33% discount
• Payment within 31–60 days: Full penalty applies
• Over 61 days: You may face court action or be blacklisted
Special Transition Period
Before the new system begins, there’s a limited-time Summons Clearance Campaign.
From November 1 to December 30, 2025, the public can enjoy 50%–70% discounts to settle existing JPJ and PDRM summonses.
