Sarawak–Sabah Link Road (SSLR) to Boost Connectivity
The Sarawak–Sabah Link Road (SSLR) will directly connect Lawas, Miri, Long Lama, and Sabah, creating a route that bypasses Brunei. Spanning over 300 km, the RM7.4 billion project is expected to take at least five years to complete.
• Phase One: Kampung Gelugus (Lawas) → Long Lopeng Junction, started August 2021, ~40% completed, expected by Q4 2026.
• Phase Two: Covers Baram, Lawas, and Limbang with four major packages:
1. Mulu → Long Seridan (65 km)
2. Long Seridan → Nanga Medamit (108 km)
3. Long Lopeng → Long Komap, Ba Kelalan (63 km)
4. Rumah Aling → Long Lopeng (99 km)
