The terminal will serve as an integrated hub for long-route buses, stage buses, taxis, and e-hailing services, as passengers will need additional transport options to reach the city center or their homes after arriving at the terminal. The facility has reportedly been completed and handed over to the Miri City Council in mid-September. Hopefully, this tender round will proceed smoothly, allowing the terminal to open as planned.

Once operational, the current Pujut Corner Bus Terminal will be repurposed into a wholesale and seasonal food market, and bus operators will be required to move to the new terminal.

It will be a key landmark and transportation hub in Miri, linking Brunei, Limbang, Lawas, Sabah, as well as Sibu, Kuching, and Bintulu. The main station is expected to feature 12 ticket counters, 10 shops, 21 bus platforms, two cafés, 12 taxi stands, waiting areas, and restrooms. Quite impressive, don’t you think?
