A new airline is taking flight in Malaysia. Ascend Airways Malaysia has officially announced that it has received both its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) and its Air Service Permit (ASP), marking a major milestone toward full operations.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, Ascend Airways will begin ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) operations in November 2025, offering both cargo and passenger services across Malaysia and Southeast Asia. Passenger flights are expected to launch in Q1 2026, with the initial fleet featuring Boeing 737 aircraft.
