Reconstruction of Sekolah Kebangsaan Syed Othman Back on Track with New Contractor.
After years of delays and being classified as a “sick project,” the reconstruction of Sekolah Kebangsaan Syed Othman has now been taken over by a new rescue contractor. The project site was officially handed over to the new contractor on May 7, 2025, with a stipulated completion deadline of May 6, 2026.
The project, valued at RM7.5 million, has officially resumed and must be completed within 12 months. The new contractor is responsible for continuing the construction and upgrading works at the school. The project will be supervised by the Miri Public Works Department (JKR Miri).
Sekolah Kebangsaan Syed Othman is located at Jalan Merpati, 98000 Miri, directly opposite Masjid At-Taqwa.
