9-Year-Old Brazilian Boy Rides a Pig to School in Just One Minute, Stuns the Internet
A 9-year-old boy from Brazil has captured the world’s attention by riding a pig to school every day — and it only takes him one minute to reach his classroom thanks to the pig’s impressive speed.
According to international media reports, the boy, Gutinho, lives in the rural area of Girau do Ponciano in northeastern Brazil. Growing up with a love for animals, he taught himself how to train pigs and now skillfully rides his family’s sow, affectionately named “Foguete” — which means “Rocket” in Portuguese.
But pigs aren’t the only animals Gutinho can handle — he’s also good at riding donkeys and has a great rapport with dogs.
Ana frequently shares clips of her son riding Rocket on Instagram, adding humorous captions like: “School starts at 1:00 PM, I leave at 12:59 PM.” One video of Rocket sprinting in Adidas shorts racked up over 40 million views, while another has surpassed 54.8 million views — turning Rocket into an internet sensation.
Speaking to local media, Gutinho proudly said: “Rocket is almost fully trained!” He plans to keep training more animals in the future. His daily pig rides have now become a unique and charming sight in the community.
Videos show Gutinho wearing a helmet as he hops on Rocket’s back and speeds along a muddy path to school, creating a scene both amusing and heartwarming.
His mother, Ana, laughed during an interview: “He’s always loved animals. His older brothers used to ride animals while herding cattle, and he’s always said he wanted to be a rider too.” She added that among her four children, Gutinho is the best at handling animals. “Rocket only lets him ride — no one else can manage it.”
Gutinho’s Instagram account now boasts over 1.2 million followers. His brothers help with filming while their mother manages the account.
